Biography

I love teaching and have taught in all sorts of places! I started out working at a K-8 elementary school in Brookline, Massachusetts in 2005. I then had the opportunity to briefly work as a substitute teacher in the school district I attended as a little boy near the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. It was so interesting seeing my old school from the point of view of a teacher! From 2008-2010, when I was in graduate school getting my Masters Degree in English, I taught college writing to undergraduate students at my university. I taught them what academic writing on the university level was all about. 

Even though I am from the United States, I currently live in Europe. I have been teaching English language learners since I moved here in 2011. I have taught both online and at language centers. Because I live abroad, I understand what it's like to have to learn another language in a foreign country!

I've worked as a teacher in many different environments, so I am comfortable teaching the spectrum--from young children to adults. I have enjoyed all of the different experiences that teaching has brought me. One of my favorite things about teaching is that it gives me the opportunity to meet new, interesting people!
