  Started Skype English Class Now to improve ESL education by making it available anywhere and by making it more effective, easier and fun! Starting in Decemeber 2015, acted as a consultant.

  YBM Gate - Served as school-wide point of contact for potential teachers. Also appointed to assist new Vice Principal. Taught full-time and started tutoring and editing business in Seoul.

Biography

Growing up in Ohio my whole life, my skills and interests were always focused on the same issues: helping people, researching, learning, and later in life teaching. After graduating from Miami University, I left to teach in South Korea. I spent a year at the Gyeonggi English Village in Paju where I taught anywhere from 1-60 students ranging in ages from 4-14. After that, I worked for YBM, Korea's largest education company, at a flagship branch in Gangnam.

I also tutored professionals from global companies such as 3M, LG, SK, and others. I taught Conversational and Business English as well as presentation skills. I tutored elementary and middle school children too. As my reputation grew, I ended up tutoring 4-6 students at any given time (on top of my full-time teacher position). Recognizing my writing skills, several entities also contracted me for editing projects.

I moved back to the US and wrote and edited for a tech website before transitioning back into teaching. In 2013, I founded Skype English Class Now to deliver high quality English classes for students who have a passion to learn. More recently, in December 2015, I moved into a consultant role for Skype English Class Now.
